We are a small home-bakery located in sunny central Florida offering weekly order drops of our creative confections with a variety of unique flavors and a rotating seasonal menu. We can also help bring your vision or celebration to life with custom orders.
What's In A Name: in collaboration with my son and daughter, the name of our bakery actually came about years before the actual bakery itself. Enjoying a vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia where you can find many quaint businesses and BBQ spots (mostly with pigs in the logo), we talked about what it might be like to have a bakery there and use a pig in our logo but instead of your local BBQ spot it would be a local Bakery. Purple is my favorite color and so "The Purple Pig Bakery" came to be.
Hi there! I'm Linda. I have a passion for baking, creative fun, and natural beauty.
My love for baking started many years ago when I was about 5 and made my first cake as a surpise for my Dad. During my childhood/teenage years I admired not only the cakes and pastries but also the set up at our local Polish bakery. As an adult I would test flavors and create themed pieces of edible art to take into the office. After a 37-year career in finance, a little help from my son with the name and logo (thank you), and a little help from my daughter with the social media content (thank you), I finally decided to put all this love, passion, and creativity to work and open the Purple Pig Bakery.
I hope to share my creative side and love for baking with you.
